Commissioned study

Customer behavior study

A three-to-six-week commission: on-site watching, a review of the records you already keep, drawn floor and hour sheets, and a ninety-minute briefing with the people who work the rooms.

Who this is for

This study suits a single, named location — a clothes shop on Aghmashenebeli, a neighborhood bakery in Vera, a twelve-room guest house near the river — where the owner already suspects that visitors behave differently from the story the till tells at the end of the week. It is not a brand-wide programme and it is not a classroom course.

What you leave with

You receive a small set of drawings and a conversation, not a binder of unused charts. Typical sheets: a floor plan with pause and skip marks; a strip of hours against door counts and sales; a short list of repeating baskets or room requests; notes on empty-handed exits. The briefing is ninety minutes with whoever needs to hear it — owner, shift lead, sometimes the person who orders stock.

Scope

We work one location at a time. Two to four weeks of watching, plus time to sit with till rolls, reservation books, or loyalty stamps if you already keep them. Extra branches, a second café, or a warehouse are separate pieces of work.

Included

  • A free scoping visit inside Tbilisi (or a quoted travel add-on beyond the city)
  • Introductions to staff so the watching is not a surprise
  • On-floor observation across agreed hours, including at least one slower weekday and one busier stretch
  • Review of records you supply; we do not scrape anything you do not hand over
  • Drawn sheets (paper and a PDF copy)
  • A ninety-minute briefing
  • One round of small corrections if a mark on the floor plan is wrong

Not included

Staff training programmes, window-display design, advertising, filming of faces, or any standing “always on” watch after the study ends. Software you might already use at the till is yours; we read extracts, we do not install anything.

Who does the work

Analysts from Cloud Layerpoint, based at Level 11, 34 Pekini Avenue, Tbilisi 0160. You will know the name of the person who will sit in the rooms before the first observation day.

How the weeks run

  1. You write with the address, hours, and what you already notice.
  2. We walk the floor once, agree which rooms are in scope, and set the days.
  3. Observation period: notebooks, door counts, pause marks. We do not stop guests.
  4. Desk days with the records you provided.
  5. Draft sheets sent so you can flag a misread corner or a closed afternoon we missed.
  6. Briefing at your table or at Pekini Avenue.
  7. Optional follow-up observation week, priced separately, if you change a rail or a menu and want a second look.

Preparation

Tell the shift what we are doing. Give us a stool or a corner that does not block a queue. If till extracts exist, a fortnight of ordinary days is more useful than a holiday week. We do not need passwords; printed or exported totals by hour and by category are enough.

Constraints

We do not film faces without written consent. We do not share one client’s floor marks with another. If a location is too small for a stranger to sit without changing how people browse, we say so at the scoping visit and may suggest a visit-pattern review instead.

Price

Quoted after the scoping conversation. Many single-location studies in Tbilisi fall between 2,400 and 5,800 GEL, depending on how many observation days the rooms need. A written figure is sent before work starts. See Rates for day rates and what sits outside a full study.

Next step

Write to us with the location, the hours you care about, and whether you already keep till or booking records. We reply within two working days and, if the rooms are in Tbilisi, we suggest a morning to walk them.
